Three videos from Idaho Public Television about the Idaho Canyonlands country:

• • Canyonlands Calling  The recently completed Owyhee Initiative is a landmark example of collaborative conservation aimed to protect this high desert region of southwest Idaho.  This video was created after the Initiative was passed in the 2009 Omnibus Public Lands bill.

  • Owyhee Canyonlands Some of the wildest country left in Idaho is in the Owyhee.  Journey down the rivers in the steep canyons, meet cowboys who ride the range and reflect on how to make America’s public lands work for everyone. This video was created during the initial days of what would become the Owyhee Initiative

  • Desert Hideaways Explore the incomparable Owyhee Desert, the most remote region in the lower 48.  This video focuses on the natural history of the Owyhee, not the collaborative conservation of the Owyhee Initiative
