Any gratuity received on a trip is the result of a collective effort that includes the people behind the scenes like shoppers and drivers who helped make the trip possible. In order to minimize conflict over how to tip-out support staff, ROW settled on a minimum amount. On half and single day trips, each guide will tip out the driver 10%. On multi-day trips, the shopper is tipped out at 20% of guides share and the driver 15% of guides share. Notice this is not 20% and 15% of the total gratuity. Keep our calculator from getting messed up!!! In the first line, enter the total amount of the tip. In the second line, enter the total number of crew (guides + swamper/jester). Do not include licensing guides in this number. The share of tip for drivers, shopper and guides will appear. The image below shows you what the form looks like.
